Bonjour, Décembre!

Salut!

Thank you to all those who came out to parent-teacher conferences last week - it was wonderful to get to chat with all of you about your students' learning and progress.

We had a very exciting week this week! You may have heard about the Top Secret Mission that Mme Devitt tasked us with.... She asked our to class create a Kindness/Wellness Board for the whole school! Students wrote some thoughtful, kind, and supportive messages on sticky notes and posted them to a "Take One, Share One, Leave One" board. Students were SO excited to be doing this awesome project for the school. Check it out on our school's twitter account! 

We are continuing to work on literacy stations in our class in both French and English. Here are some pictures of students working through their stations!

In math we are learning about how to solve addition and subtraction word problems. We've been spending a lot of time practicing and learning how to carry-over (addition) and borrow (subtraction). 

Last week, students completed their mapping projects in Social Studies. This week, we started on some research projects! The grade 3s are working in groups to learn about Peru, Ukraine, India, and Ukraine. The grade 4s are studying Alberta. 

On Friday afternoon we decorated Ugly Holiday Sweaters to decorate our door!
