Busy Week!
Hello again and welcome back to the blog!
We had a pretty busy week this week! On Monday morning we were very lucky to be participants in a presentation from Earth Rangers. We met some animal friends and learned some cool facts about them and how to take care of them and their environment. On Wednesday we ran for Terry Fox and it was super fun! Thank you to everyone for their generous donations. (Next week we will be practicing counting and addition to see how much money our class raised for cancer research)
ALSO, we stumbled upon a family of baby voles while we were out having our snack on Wednesday!! They were TINY and adorable and the students were very excited to make new wild animal friends. We talked about how important it is to respect wildlife and not touch or frighten animals. They were eventually moved to a safer location far away from the playground by our admin team :)
This week we continued talking about identity and the kinds of things that influence our unique and shared identities. We will keep talking about this next week!
We started surveying and graphing in math! We learned that the most popular animals in our class are cats and dogs and that the most liked food is pizza!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mme Anderson
